A client of mine is getting ready to celebrate her first Thanksgiving in the Boca Bayou condo I helped. She sent me a lovely note saying that she had a lot to give thanks for this year – her kids would be coming in from up north to join her for the holiday, she had her health and, of course, she had her lovely new home in Boca Raton’s Boca Bayou.
It got me thinking about all the things that I am thankful for. I have a condo in Boca Bayou, too, and I absolutely love it. It’s so conveniently located, making it easy to get to all of the things that make Boca Raton such a wonderful community and that make the Boca Raton lifestyle so desirable, from the beach to the golf course and, of course, the shopping!
I’m also incredibly grateful for all the clients who put their trust in me this year when they wanted to buy or sell real estate in Boca Bayou. I also helped quite a few people who found Boca Bayou rentals that had everything they were looking for – and a little extra!
In addition to a fabulous group of family and friends, I have a job that I love – and I know not everyone can say that. Not everyone can say they live in Boca Raton, either. I am so very fortunate to be able to call this amazing place home.
Grateful for Gratitude
I’m going to have add that I’m grateful for gratitude because I realized that thinking about all the things I have to be thankful for made me feel better.
I wasn’t having the best day when I received that note from my client. I’d woken up with a headache, only to find out that a condo in Boca Bayou that I was excited about showing to a client had already sold. It wasn’t a surprise – real estate in Boca Bayou tends to go fast – but it was definitely disappointing. I stepped in a puddle when I stopped at Publix after work to pick up a few things and then, when I’d gotten home and was unloading the groceries, I realized I’d forgotten something.
But then I received that lovely note from the woman I’d recently sold a Boca Bayou condominium to. That in itself brought a smile to my face, but it also got me thinking about all the things I have to be thankful for. And I am very happy to be ending the day with my focus on the positive things – the important things.
