What's Happening in Boca Raton: October 2026 Edition

I’m Lynn Johnsen, your Boca Bayou condo guide and a year-round Boca Raton resident. October is my favorite month to live in Boca Raton. The humidity finally breaks, the evenings are perfect, and the city pulls out all the stops for fall. Season is right around the corner — and October 2026 events in Boca Raton give you every reason to get out and enjoy it. Here’s what’s on my radar this month.

October 2026 Events Boca Raton: Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival

First, the one everyone looks forward to. The Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival returns to Mizner Park Amphitheater (590 Plaza Real) for its annual fall weekend. Thousands of pumpkins, carnival rides for all ages, a cornstalk maze, scarecrow village, pumpkin decorating, fall photo vignettes, and a full food court with sweet and savory pumpkin treats — plus a Pumpkin Beer Bar for the adults. Also, the main stage features live performances throughout both days. This is the signature fall event in Boca Raton and it sells out every year. Check bocapumpkinpatch.com for 2026 dates and tickets as soon as they’re released.

Boo-ca Boo Days – City of Boca Raton Halloween Events

Among the most family-friendly October events in Boca Raton, the City’s beloved Boo-ca Boo Days program returns in October with a full slate of Halloween activities. Events typically include Halloween By The Sea at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center — outdoor crafts, games, a special Halloween treat, and a photo with Luna the sea turtle. Also, the Monster Mash at The Swim & Racquet Center features a haunted house, face painting, and a pumpkin dive for kids ages 5–13. Meanwhile, the Halloween Night Walk at Gumbo Limbo offers spooky evening nature walks for adults and children 7 and up. Registration opens October 1 for most events. Check myboca.us for the full 2026 Boo-ca Boo Days lineup and activity numbers as they’re posted.

Shriek Week at Sugar Sand Park

Also returning this October, Shriek Week at Sugar Sand Park (300 S Military Trail) transforms the community center into a family Halloween destination. The haunted house runs evenings throughout the week, with a LITE NITE option featuring brighter lighting and softer scares for younger children ages 5–12. Additionally, the Willow Theatre and Children’s Science Explorium round out the park with seasonal programming all month. Check myboca.us for 2026 dates and registration details.

Haunted Mizner – October 31, 2026

Finally, the best of all October events in Boca Raton — close out the month on Halloween night. Haunted Mizner 2026 takes over Mizner Park Amphitheater on Halloween night — October 31 — with doors opening at 5 PM. Billed as the biggest Halloween festival in Florida, this massive outdoor event draws over 4,000 attendees each year with live entertainment, costumes, and the full Mizner Park backdrop lit up for Halloween. Costumes are not just welcome — they’re expected. It’s the perfect adult Halloween night right in our backyard. Check the event page for ticket details as the date approaches.
