Nearly 1,000 parking spaces mean you can almost always find a spot. The park is open daily from 8 AM to sunset. Furthermore, it’s free for walkers and cyclists. Vehicle entry is $35 on weekdays and $50 on weekends for non-permit holders. A Boca Raton Beach Permit pays for itself quickly if you go regularly.
Dog Beach, Bird Watching & Paddling
Spanish River Park welcomes dogs in a designated area between towers 18 and 20. Dog beach hours run Fridays through Sundays from 7–9 AM and 3 PM to sunset. Meanwhile, the west side along the Intracoastal is one of the best bird watching spots in southeast Boca. Herons, anhingas, osprey, and egrets are regulars along the lagoon paths. Also, if you have a kayak or canoe, the launch here gives you direct Intracoastal access. It’s one of the easiest put-in spots on this stretch of the coast.
Tips for Your Visit to Spanish River Park in Boca
Go early on weekends — the park fills up fast in summer. Also, bring your own charcoal if you plan to grill. Open and wood fires are not permitted. Reef-safe sunscreen is always a good call at Boca beaches. If you’re bringing the dog, use the north tunnel for direct beach access. Finally, pavilions can be reserved in advance through the Boca Raton Recreation Services Department. Worth doing if you’re planning a group outing.
