While we may not have snow here in Boca Raton, we still cherish our holiday happenings among many. Here are three of my favorite holiday events in Boca Raton:
Firstly, my favorite is an event held at Meisner Park, typically on the third Saturday of November. It’s called Light the Lights. The Holiday Festival begins at 6:00 PM with a holiday stage show, snow flurries, photos with Santa, a giant snow globe, and much more. The night culminates with the traditional tree lighting.
Secondly, the Holiday Street Parade, usually held on the first Wednesday of December, is another favorite of mine. The annual Holiday Street Parade kicks off at 7:30 PM and features more than 70 floats and groups. They entertain viewers with dancing, lighting displays, and music along Federal Highway in downtown Boca.
Lastly, the Holiday Boat Parade, typically on the third weekend of December, lights up the waterways of the Intercoastal starting at 6:30 PM from the north end of Boca Raton, continuing south to the Hillsboro Bridge. There are public viewing areas along the route. Entry is free, and prizes are awarded in several categories to winners.
