Whats-Happening-in-Boca-Raton-May-2026-Edition

I’m Lynn Johnsen, your Boca Bayou condo guide and a year-round Boca Raton resident. May is one of my favorite months here. The pace slows just enough after season, the weather is still beautiful, and Mother’s Day is right around the corner. Plus, May 2026 events in Boca Raton have something for everyone. From elegant brunches to museum debuts and a standout concert, here’s what I’m watching this week and beyond.

May 2026 Events Boca Raton: Mother’s Day – Sunday, May 10

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 10. First, if mom loves classic elegance, The Boca Raton is the gold standard. The Royal Palm Ballroom hosts a limited-seating brunch with an iced seafood station, sushi displays, and a smoked fish and bagel bar. Four seatings are available. They fill fast, so call ahead if you haven’t already.

Also downtown, The Addison at 2 E Camino Real offers an equally refined experience just steps from Mizner Park. Its Mizner-era architecture and garden setting make a meal feel like a true occasion. Meanwhile, if mom prefers something more relaxed, Serena Pastificio in Mizner Park offers a $40 mimosa special — a full bottle of prosecco with orange, grapefruit, and peach juices. The menu features chicken piccata, pollo e waffle, ricotta French toast, and a carving station.

For something different, the Boca Raton Museum of Art hosts a champagne toast and high tea experience for Mother’s Day. It’s the kind of afternoon mom will talk about long after the flowers have wilted.

Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum – May 2026

Two of the best May 2026 events in Boca Raton this month take place at the Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum. First, on May 13, the Museum debuts “America 250: The 14th Colony.” It runs through August 27, 2026. Timed to the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary, this exhibit uncovers Florida’s role during the American Revolution — when it remained a loyal British colony. 18th-century map reproductions, Revolutionary-era artifacts, and elements from the Museum of Florida History make this one of the most compelling exhibits to hit Boca in years.

Also, on May 12, a guided walking tour of The Boca Raton resort brings architectural history to life for $29 per person. It’s a wonderful way to spend a Tuesday afternoon with mom if she’s still in town after the weekend. Tickets at bocahistory.org.

Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival – Spring Series

The Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival returns for its Spring Series this month. The lineup features international films, documentaries, and guest speakers. Check bocajff.org for the full schedule and showtimes. It’s one of the most thoughtfully curated cultural events on Boca’s calendar. Plus, it draws a dedicated local following each year.

May 2026 Events Boca Raton Finale: Marcus King Band at Mizner Park

Finally, close out May on a high note. On Sunday, May 31, GRAMMY-nominated Marcus King Band brings the Darling Blue Tour Pt. 2 to Mizner Park Amphitheater at 590 Plaza Real. Marcus King is one of the most compelling live performers in Americana and Southern rock. His voice sounds decades older than his years. Support comes from Penelope Road. Doors open one hour before the 8 PM showtime. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and Live Nation. For anyone in Boca Bayou, Mizner Park is practically in your backyard.
