20 Aug The Music Never Stops for Boca Bayou Condo Owners
There was a time when things slowed down in the summertime – not just in Boca Raton, but throughout Palm Beach County. Some boutiques would go on hiatus and many entertainment venues went dark during the summer months because so many of the area’s residents went north. In fact, when the first condominiums in Boca Bayou were built, the Boca Raton calendar was divided into summer and “The Season.”
These days, Boca Raton is a dynamic, year-round community. You might notice a little less traffic on the roads this month, but it’s easy to fill your own calendar with fun and entertaining things to do – even in August!
August Happenings in Boca Raton
The City of Boca Raton’s Summer in the City series of free concerts is popular year after year. This summer’s lineup of free shows at the Mizner Park Amphitheater wraps up this month with two fabulous concerts:
- Aug. 2 @ 7:30 pm: Symphony Swings by The Symphonia. Members from Boca’s own acclaimed orchestra will have you tapping your toes as they perform songs from the glorious era of swing. The show is free and open to the public.
- Aug. 9 @ 7:30 pm. Chicago by Chicago Rewired is the final Summer in the City concert for 2019. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear all your favorite Chicago hits performed by this tribute band. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
There are also benefits for Boca Bayou condo owners and others who choose to make South Florida their home 12 months out of the year. During the summer months, many restaurants feature special offers that allow you to enjoy some of the fabulous cuisine the area is known for at reduced prices. You should keep your eyes out for sales, too. Summer is a great time to get bargains on everything from stylish clothes and shoes to to-die-for décor pieces.
